Been trying to get Tom Stade to Walthamstow for ages so we are very excited about this in fact we wanted him so much we changed our date to a Wednesday night!
Since arriving in the UK, Canadian émigré Tom Stade has steadily earned a reputation as one of the most original and exciting stand-up talents around. He instantly made a splash on the UK circuit with his magnetic stage presence, irrepressible charm and first-class story-telling, and after years topping the bill and playing at international comedy festivals around the globe, he is now established as a leading touring act in his own right, and finds himself well on the road to being a household name.
He has a distinctive “drunken Canadian” accent and is known for his appearances at the Edinburgh Festival, as well as appearing on British TV shows such as Live at the Apollo, The Comedy Store, The Live Floor Show, Stand Up for the Week, and The World Stands Up.[4] Other appearances include: Mock the Week, the Birmingham leg of (whilst he lived in Wolverhampton) Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Dave’s One Night Stand, Lee Mack’s All Star Cast, and Frankie Boyle’s Tramadol Nights (for which he also wrote)

Support comes from the brilliant Vladimir McTavish who serves up a delightful feast of social observation and topical satire, seasoned with his caustic wit and presented via a platter of breakneck-pace patter. In addition to his headline appearances throughout the UK, Ireland, Holland and at the Norwegian Comedy Festival at Stavanger, Vladimir has appeared on a number of popular TV and radio shows. These have included ‘The Empire Laughs Back’ (BBC1), the football game show ‘We’re On Our Way To Wembley’ (ITV) ‘Velvet Cabaret’ (BBC Radio Scotland) and the ‘Live Floor Show’ (BBC Scotland). He ‘is nothing short of superb’ Scotsman, and ‘gleefully indulgent’ Guardian.
