SafeHands for Mothers is a UK charity with 14 years of experience working largely in Sub-Saharan Africa, producing health and issue-based films in collaboration with partners including: UNICEF, UNFPA, IPPF, the Federal Ministry of Health Ethiopia and Comic Relief. Over the years SafeHands has tackled in a sensitive way a range of taboo subjects, including Female Genital Mutilation, Obstetric Fistula, Child Marriage, Family Planning, Safe Delivery and HIV/AIDS. These films have been aimed at frontline health workers, women and their communities where they are shown on SafeHands for Mothers innovative solar powered media players.
